Someone goes up on your roof
You don't have to be home for the outside, though we'd like a look in the attic if you are. Expect us up there for 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on pitch and size. Each slope, pipe boot, wall and chimney gets photographed.

You get the photographs and the estimate
A repair comes back as a fixed written price per repair. A replacement is priced per roofing square, which is 100 square feet, with deck repair per sheet as found, then underlayment, flashing, ventilation and shingle or panel on their own lines. Can you give me a replacement price over the phone?
No. A replacement is priced per roofing square measured on the roof, plus decking replaced per sheet as found, and neither can be seen from a phone. For a repair, send photos of the problem and we can give you a rough range. The fixed written price comes after the inspection.
What does a roof replacement cost in Austin?
It moves with five things: how many squares, how steep, how many valleys and penetrations, how much of the deck is soft, and which material. A simple low-slope ranch and a steep two-storey with four valleys can be the same floor area and very different roofs. The estimate shows each driver as a line so you can see where the money goes.

Is the hail damage inspection really free?
Yes. The hail damage roof inspection and the chalk-marked photo set cost nothing and you keep the photos. Any repair or replacement after that is priced like any other job. We don't negotiate claims and we don't waive deductibles; that last one is insurance fraud in Texas, and our insurance stance explains why we say it out loud.
Water is coming in right now. What do I do?
Call 512-952-7454 instead of sending the form. Move what you can from under the drip and put a bucket down. If a ceiling is bulging, a small hole in the lowest point lets the water out in one place instead of the whole sheet coming down. We tarp and batten the opening, and the price per call-out is stated before work starts.
Who is this not for?
